I am Paxton Dobbins, a Media Consultant at Cox Media Group Tampa, and I take great pride in delivering exceptional service and marketing campaigns for my clients. With my expertise in sales, I am able to guide my clients from the beginning to the end of the sales cycle, ensuring their experience with our products are nothing short of outstanding.
​This role has allowed me to sharpen my sales and marketing skills through the three components of the role: Prospecting, Product Knowledge, and Account Management.

Prospecting:

My responsibilities involve prospecting, qualifying, and generating all potential clients.
​
I start the sales process by initiating an introductory meeting to understand the prospects' business goals, current challenges, and growth opportunities. My aim is to gain an in-depth understanding of their business model, identify key performance indicators, and highlight development potential. This meeting serves as the foundation for brainstorming a customized marketing strategy that aligns with the client's business objectives, whether it be generating brand awareness, increasing search, or generating leads.

With access to the best-in-class full-service digital capabilities in the nation and top radio stations in the Tampa market and beyond, I am able to deliver the highest quality campaigns. I take great care in creating unique, innovative, and effective marketing solutions that truly stand out in a crowded marketplace.

Finally, I meet with the client to review the proposal, explain the process, and manage their expectations. My goal is to ensure that my clients are informed and comfortable throughout the entire process.
Product Knowledge:

In order to consult clients on all CMG solutions and provide the best recommendation possible, I must demonstrate a deep understanding of product capabilities measurement, attribution and KPIs. Through fully understanding and effectively communicating CMG’s full suite of audio and digital products with customers, I am able to educate clients on the best strategy for their business.
CMG is a full service digital provider handling everything from SEO, SEM, Social Media, OTT (Over The Top Streaming), DOOH (Digital Out of Home), Email Marketing, Programmatic, Mobile Precise, and more. I have taken and retaken many digital learning courses to ensure I am up to date with the latest industry reports, statistics and economic updates, benchmarking and best practices information for each of our digital capabilities.
With the top radio stations in the market: 97x, Hot 101.5, Magic 94.9, 105.5 WDUV, 102.5 The Bone, and 107.3 WXGL, it is important that I stay up to date with all station updates and events. It is also very important that I am knowledgeable regarding how to create the best radio schedule manipulating daypart, frequency, amount, and length of schedule to produce the best results per client.

It is my responsibility to create a custom proposal per each prospect that will be effective at accomplishing their KPI's.
Account Management:
After onboarding clients, I am responsible for nurturing relationships with all clients. I strive to be empathetic, service-oriented, and strategic with all client relationships.
This entails making sure orders are in properly, on time, copy is correct, copy is entered into the system, payment is taken care of, the type of payment is assembled properly, and that campaigns are optimized to their best of their ability at all times.
The most important element to account management is always making sure I am checking in on my clients to make sure they are happy with how things are running and offering new ideas frequently.
