SEACREST STUDIOS

At Seacrest Foundation's Seacrest Studios, located inside of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, it is the mission of the interns to connect with patients ranging from 3-20 years old, through media interaction and other uplifting activities. In order to accomplish this, we utilize broadcast and radio equipment to facilitate programming to patient rooms. Through this experience I have gained the skills of operating the radio board and broadcasting equipment. In addition, I am responsible for directing conversation as an on air radio personality in a fully functioning New Media Studio. Experience with leading radio topics of conversation and engaging with the patients and their families has taught me how to appeal to different audiences when in a position of leadership. Furthermore, I am responsible for assisting celebrity visitations, such as Lil-Nas X, the Chainsmokers, T.I., and Ludacris, during their time in the studio. This requires that I distribute and collect the proper paperwork from each patients’ family, collect and distribute signatures from the celebrity visitors, and ensure that the radio interview process runs smoothly. Furthermore, I conducted the interview for celebrity, Niall Horan, and gained valuable experience on how to conduct an interview while involving others in the process.
